The monthly ‘Tips for Tuscaloosa’ songwriter’s concert will be back at Billy’s Sports Grill in Northport on June 24th and will benefit Ainsley's Angels.

If you’ve never stopped by before, the night will feature local and Nashville based singer/songwriters in what is known as a “round”. Singing their songs, telling stories and musically accompanying each other.

New to the lineup this month is Texas native Macy Martin who got her musical start at 6-years-old, entertaining for the Miss America Organization’s Miss Texas Organization pageant system during their preliminary intermissions. Influenced by such country heavyweights as Alison Krauss, Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride, this young singer is ready to show off her raw talent in the round at Billy's!

Others on the bill include Hope Cassity, JP Miller, Robert Daniels and more!

All tips this month will go to Ainsley's Angels, whose goal is to build awareness about America's special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life and an organization that I have been involved with since the 2015 Tuscaloosa Half Marathon.

If you’re a songwriter interested in playing, there will be an open mic portion, so you’ll need to arrive by 5:30pm to sign up.

  • Show starts at 6pm at Billy’s Sports Grill in downtown Northport
  • There is a suggested $20 cover at the door, but that is not required by any means
