Josh Abbott Band Playing Birmingham Thursday Night

Thursday night the Josh Abbott Band invade Zydeco for a rowdy night of country music with special guest and Alabama native Trey Lewis!

Texas-based Josh Abbott Band have risen to the top-tier of Texas country musicians with blazing speed having formed the band less than 10 years ago. They’ve done this by capturing audiences during their live performances, touring across the country with a very heavy touring schedule.

Front man Josh Abbott says,

I really feel like this is the band I’ve always wanted. I did an interview for a Lubbock news station in late 2007, back when we first started hitting the road, and the reporter asked me, ‘Where do you want to be in five years?’ And I just looked at him and said, ‘I want to be one of the biggest bands in Texas music.’

Alabama native Trey Lewis will open the show. A veteran of our monthly 'Tips for Tuscaloosa' songwriter's night, Trey knows his way around a song lyric and compliments each word with a smooth voice and delivery.
