John Ward, A Rocky Top Legend

I remember going to Bama/Tennessee games with my uncle years ago and watching John Ward (Mr Give em Six as i called him) broadcast before the game.  He sat there with his confident grin and rubber band mic screen on his old headset.

"Give him Six" was his catch phrase i remembered and hated as a young Bama fan.  John Ward, the radio voice of Tennessee football and men’s basketball for over three decades, has died. He was 88.  We Bama fans both love and respect the works of Rocky Top Lovin John Ward. #WildBillShow
