Country artists dream of the day they'll get to play the Grand Ole Opry. For John King, it'll soon be a dream come true. While visiting our sister station WGNA, King was surprised with the great news that he'll be taking the Opry stage ... and of course he had to call his mom!

Before letting him play, deejays Sean and Richie took a few minutes to play a little game with the country singer. They listed a lot of very famous country stars -- Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Craig Morgan, among others -- and asked King what they had in common.

"They've all played this show before?" the clueless newcomer asked.

After revealing that all of the stars have something in common with King, the singer was still stumped, but it wasn't long before they delivered the news: "They all made their debut on the Grand Ole Opry, where you will be live on Sept. 27. Congratulations! You're going to the big stage, my friend. The Grand Ole Opry!"

Naturally, King was in utter disbelief. He threw his head back as the audience clapped to the exciting news. Then, the singer called his biggest fan -- his mom -- to share the news!

King's debut single, 'Tonight Tonight,' is at country radio now. The newcomer, who hails from Demorest, Georgia, is signed to Black River Entertainment.
