Author J.K. Rowling mourned the death of Luis Vielma, one of the 50 people killed during the Orlando Pulse nightclub massacre early Sunday morning, on Twitter today (June 13). Vielma worked on a ride at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios.

"Luis Vielma worked on the Harry Potter ride at Universal. He was 22 years old. I can't stop crying. #Orlando," she wrote, before retweeting and responding to several users who knew Vilema and reached out to Rowling on Twitter.

Vielma, who was 22 years old when he was shot and killed along with the other victims of the horrific attack, worked as an attendant and attractions opener at the Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey ride, according to Deadline.

Rowling also responded to one of Vielma’s co-workers, who informed the author their fellow worker remains in critical condition following the mass shooting.

Rowling retweeted Universal Orlando’s official statement about Vilema’s death, which came directly from Bill David, the President and COO of Universal Orlando Resort.

"We are deeply saddened over the loss of our Team Member. We are working to support his friends and colleagues here at Universal Orlando. Our thoughts and prayers are with Luis, his family, and all the victims of this tragedy," Davis wrote.

Rowling further honored Vielma by retweeting several users -- ranging from close friends of his to others who'd only met him once -- who shared their memories of the 22-year-old with her.

The tragedy, which targeted gay patrons of popular nightclub Pulse, has been declared the "most deadly shooting in American history" by President Obama. New York-born Omar Mateen was identified as the shooter, and was killed by a SWAT team responding to the emergency.
