Jason Aldean has long been a champion of fighting breast cancer, and this year for his Concert for a Cure event, he’s joining up with the Opry’s annual "Opry Goes Pink” and taking it to the iconic stage for an even bigger impact.

The 11th annual Concert for a Cure will take place Oct. 25, and Aldean will be the one to “flip the switch” for Opry Goes Pink to wash the iconic stage in pink light.

The country star will perform at the show and raise funds for Women Rock for the Cure, a Nashville-based nonprofit connecting young women fighting breast cancer, as well as the Susan G. Komen Nashville chapter. Other artists are set to join the lineup and will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Finding a cure for breast cancer is something I'll continue to fight for the rest of my life," Aldean says in a press release about the event. "Bringing the show back to Nashville this year as part of a special Opry performance where I will have so many friends and family in the crowd will be a good reminder of why we need to continue to fight this terrible disease.”

Aldean is particularly passionate about fighting breast cancer due to the tragedy of losing a close friend to the disease in 2004. He continues to donate a portion of ticket sales from every show to Susan G. Komen and regularly recognizes cancer survivors at his concerts. He will take the stage at the Concert for a Cure to present a check to Susan G. Komen with all the funds he’s raised over the past year. Tickets are now available for the Concert for a Cure, from which $5 of each sale will be donated to Women Rock for the Cure.

Aldean is currently on his Six String Circus Tour and recently earned his 17th career No. 1. His upcoming album They Don’t Know is due out Sept. 9.
