After becoming pregnant at the age of 16, Jamie Lynn Spears exited Zoey 101, the hit Nickelodeon series of which she was the star, in 2008 to focus on her family, and to escape the harsh limelight of fame. Now, after nearly eight years spent away from the TV cameras, the country music star is set to make her grand return with a special on TLC.

PEOPLE confirms that on Sunday, June 26 the network will air a one-hour special about Jamie Lynn's life following the media fallout surrounding her much-publicized pregnancy announcement in 2007. The trailer for Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out reveals that the special will document the actress-singer's transition into country music stardom, and features footage of her performance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville back in March, where Britney Spears made a surprise appearance to support her little sister.

The trailer also illuminates the emotional aftermath of Jamie Lynn's tumultuous relationship with the press—highlighting a number of negative media quotes about the former Nickelodeon star—as well as her attempts to shake public perceptions and pursue a successful music career.

"I'm not just a child star," she says in the clip. "And I'm not just someone's sister And I'm not just a teen mom...This is my story like you've never heard before."
