Is Facebook Losing it’s Cool Factor?

According to Facebook CFO David Eberson, "We did see a decrease in daily users, specifically among younger teens". This is part of a statement made after the recent earnings call that was lead with the news of major growth in their ad revenue on mobile.

So where are the teens going? Facebook's Instagram is one place. Instagram has over 150 million monthly users and has grown 50% in the last 7 months.

Tumblr and Snapchat are having no trouble attracting teens. Is Facebook for old people?  As I scroll down my news feed, I do notice a lot of post about folks babies, pets and  where to buy the best arthritis cream.....maybe so. I just received a friend request from my 62 year old dad who "joined" Facebook last week.
