Shelia Corley Britton, age 56...the Tuscaloosa gas station clerk who was injured while trying to stop two men from stealing beer has died from her injuries.

She suffered a serious head injury after she was dragged from a car driven thru the gas station parking lot by two men escaping the Shell Station parking lot.

The two men stole three 12-pack cases of Corona worth only $45 from the Shell Station on Skyland Boulevard.

Criminal charges in the case have been upgraded from robbery to felony murder. Tuscaloosa Police have arrested Dewan Latrell Hampton and on Friday arrested 52 yr old Michael Wayne Burrell.
