Many eyes are on the Caribbean and Hurricane Irma threatens the Atlantic.  I truly hope this thing take a hard eastward turn and stays at sea.  Currently it's a Cat 5 storm and it has everyones full attention following Harvey.
From the desk of 95,3 The Bear Weather dude Bobby Best....
It seems like right after we get through with one hurricane in our area, here comes another we're having to deal with!!! On that note, the current hurricane we're watching now
is; Hurricane Irma and it is now the strongest hurricane we've seen in The Atlantic, this year.
At present, Hurricane Irma is a STRONG category 5 hurricane, with SUSTAINED WINDS OF 180 MILES PER HOUR with even stronger wind gusts.
Right now there are  Hurricane Watches and Warnings from The Leeward Islands, West to Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic and Haiti, as well as; The U.S. and British Virgin Islands, and all of The Bahama Islands.
Current weather models and information from The National Hurricane Center has also placed South, Florida in the proverbial path of; Category 5 Hurricane Irma
by sometime maybe as early as Friday evening!
