In February, I began actively engaging the crows near my house hoping they would deliver small tokens of their appreciation as some flocks have done in the past.

Each day for the past two months, I've patiently made my way across the street to deliver the ducks their customary daily cup of Meow Mix under the watchful eyes of the crows in the branches above.

When I first started trying to engage the crows, they would fly off to a higher tree but remained in the area. I began calling out a greeting to them ('Hey Crows!') but continued to behave as before. After a few weeks they stopped flying off, but would cease their cawing as I got closer.
