The world (or at least me) has been holding it's collective breath awaiting the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's first born which will be third in line to the British throne.

Some interesting facts surrounding the birth of the prince or princess:

3 - William and Kate's baby will be born third in line to the throne and the Queen's third great-grandchild.

Here's the latest on the birth:

6:00 am (Greenwich Mean Time)- the Duchess of Cambridge enters St. Mary's Hospital and the world goes NUTS.

6:30 am - the House of Clarence formally announce the Duchess of Cambridge is in labor.

8:00 am - pictures of Prince William and Kate arriving at the hospital emerge.

8:30 am- a watched pot never boils...

13:20 pm - the Queen arrives at Buckingham Palace and her flag is raised.

16:08 pm - the Duchess has now been in the hospital for almost eleven hours. (Don't rush on our behalf, Kate. It's only the entire world waiting...)
