Alabama head coach Nick Saban held his annual Nick's Kids Foundation luncheon inside the north zone at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Wednesday.

The organization celebrated more than $7 million dollar raised while passing out over $500,000 to the community during its lunch that kicks off the football season each year. That amount set a new record and went to more than 150 children's organizations.

Prior to the start of the event, Saban met with reporters to talk about his foundation.

"It means a lot to me," Saban said. "We always try to look for ways to give back. It's an example we want to set for the community and our players."

Through the years, Nick's Kids has help build 16 homes in the area, a playground along the Riverwalk, a playground at Alberta School of Performing Arts, and much more.
