Alabama head coach Nick Saban held his final press conference before the school's first meeting with Fresno State.

Saban took the podium following Wednesday's practice to discuss Saturday's game and the team's preparation this week. The focus for week two has been on gaining experience and building depth.

"The focus is on improvement, especially with younger players," Saban said. "We need to have more players play. We've got opportunities created by injuries on special teams. Opportunities created at various positions on defense. We've got to develop more depth on our team. That's been the real focus for us right now."

This will be Alabama's first appearance inside Bryant-Denny Stadium in five games dating back to last season, and Saban said he's ready to return home.

"We're excited to be back at home and playing at Bryant-Denny Stadium. It seems like it's been a long time. I can't hardly remember the last game we played here so it'll be great, and we're looking forward to it. I'm hopeful that we have a great crowd that really shows the appreciation for our team and their efforts and how hard they played in the last game."
