Today we thank and honor those who are serving and have served in the United States Armed Forces defending our nation.  As the saying goes;  Home of the free BECAUSE of the brave!

Why is Veterans Day observed on November 11?   That date marks the anniversary of the end of World War I when major hostilities were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. The United States previously observed Armistice Day. The U.S. holiday was renamed Veterans Day in 1954.

For all those who served, with respect, honor and gratitude, thank you for serving our country and protecting our freedom!
