Have you had to get gas in the last day or so and wondered why the price was so high in comparison to earlier in the week, or even the past few months? Well, it could get worse!

According to WBRC, a pipeline leak in Shelby County is the culprit and could lead to higher fuel prices across the nation, although gouging laws keep the increases to a limit.

Luckily, the quick boost in fuel prices came after summer ended. So, the highest travel season only slightly escaped this setback. Hopefully, once the situation is mended, we can go back to enjoying the reprieve at the pump.
