Friends of Hurricane Creek says their mission is t:

Promote the protection and rehabilitation of Hurricane Creek and its watershed. Membership consists of a diverse group of citizens with the common goal of restoring the health and integrity of the Hurricane Creek watershed. By educating citizens on the relationship between water quality and quality of life, we promote smart growth strategies and work together to hold our government agencies accountable. We advocate partnerships with other organizations and believe that we must work together to facilitate positive change. We are a Waterkeeper Alliance affiliate.

Make plans to bring the family out for a day of fun and fellowship on Saturday, April 16th. Last years clean up was a huge success full of food, canoes and some kayaks.

Friends of Hurricane Creek is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to appreciation and preservation of the Hurricane Creek watershed. You can learn about how the Clean Water Act applies in your local watershed with this free online course from the awesome Rivers Network.
