Former Alabama golfer Justin Thomas is making his first trip to the Masters this week, and he'll be teeing off directly behind defending champion Jordan Spieth.

Thomas earned his invitation to Augusta National after winning the CIMB Classic last November, and he has a great shot at winning this week. Thomas currently ranks 6th on the FedExCup Standings and has been been one of the most consistent players on tour since entering as a rookie a year ago.

He's played in a total of 53 tournaments and finished in the top 10 more than 20% of the time. In this short 2015-16 season, Thomas has already earned more money ($2,312,877) than he did all of last season and currently sits 34th in the Official World Golf Rankings.

But he isn't getting much love from oddsmakers. You could lay $10 to win $1,100 (110 to 1 odds), which places him 28th on the list of favorites. That makes him one of the better values in the field this week.

Thomas will tee it up at 8:59 CT on Thursday along with Dustin Johnson and Emiliano Grillo. In case you're wondering what he'll be wearing, check out this photo he shared on Instagram.

Only once has a rookie won the Masters (Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979), but don't be surprised if the the former national champion at Alabama is on the leaderboard when the weekend arrives.
