New York Giants safety Landon Collins will wear No. 21 as a rookie for the 2015 NFL season, a number also worn by his favorite player, Sean Taylor.

Collins grew up a fan of the Washington Redskins and has always looked up to Taylor as a major influence. As a matter of fact, Collins chose to wear No. 26 while playing in Tuscaloosa, in honor of Taylor, who wore the number during his career at the University of Miami.

Collins had been wearing No. 27 at Giants' practices because the No. 21 belonged to cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. The safety quickly gave props to his teammate after Rodgers-Cromartie switched his jersey number from No. 21 to No. 41 so the former Alabama standout could honor his hero.

Taylor wore No. 21 with the Redskins until his untimely death in 2007. The number has not reissued by the team.

Now the fan art has hit social media and the 2nd round draft pick couldn't be happier to share! CoreCustoms on Twitter edited a pic of Collins suited up and AlabamaFootballGFX put together a fitting montage of Collins and Taylor.
