Fire at Steamers Restaurant in Tuscaloosa Causes Major Damage

An early morning fire at Steamers Restaurant & Oyster Bar on Hargrove Road caused major damage as it gutted the building. Thankfully, no one was injured at the popular seafood eatery.

Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue EMS Chief Travis Parker told Tuscaloosa News:

They will be closed for an extended amount of time while they go through some major construction.
No one was injured in the fire that was reported at 12:38 a.m. Sunday. The cause is still under investigation, but nothing appears suspicious.

Steamers Restaurant & Oyster Bar, locally owned by Heath and Keith Wyatt, have been in their current location across form Snow Hinton Park since February of 2012. There's a second location open near campus on University Boulevard.
