We’ve teamed up with our friends at Greene Beverage to put a spotlight on some of the phenomenally flavored craft beers that are being distributing throughout Tuscaloosa!

This week we're featuring another beer brewed right here in the great state of Alabama! Fairhope Brewing Company in Fairhope, AL started back in 2012 with a mutual love of beer and the same resounding question: Why isn't there a local craft brewery in Lower Alabama? What started as just two beers in the taproom – Everyday Ale and Section Street Wheat – has grown into a selection of four yearround offerings and a series of "occasional" beers distributed in many bars and restaurants throughout Alabama.

One of those is '(Take the) Causeway IPA. The use of Citra hops imparts citrus and tropical fruit characters into the brew and the Simcoe gives it a piney, earthy flavor. The overall taste doesn't come over as too sweet and is in no way overly hoppy but smooth and does a great job masking the 8.7% ABV.
