Move over, Cupid. Country crooner Eric Church defines true love in a way that puts an arrow through all the lace and swooning, and really gets down to the heart of the matter.

So, what is true love to the 'Like Jesus Does' singer? He says his wife, Katherine, displays what love is all about. “True love to me is when you love a person in spite of all their fallibilities,” he reveals in a quote from Capitol Records Nashville. “I have a lot of ‘em. I’m definitely at times hard to love, and that’s what’s great about Katherine and the way she loves me. She loves me in spite of those things and really for those things.”

The country star, who has recently announced a release date for his first live album, couldn't be more on target. It's heartening to see this more vulnerable side of Church and hear his humble approach to love.

As he finishes the Canadian leg of his Blood, Sweet and Beers Tour and looks forward to Kenny Chesney‘s No Shoes Nation Tour, he'll be a busy man. Hopefully, Church will have time to take his gorgeous wife out and display his true love for her.
