A McDonald's employee was shot in the face this morning during an attempted robbery at the restaurant chain's location in Tuscaloosa's Five Points area. The Tuscaloosa News reports that the Tuscaloosa Police Department was called to McDonald's at 4222 University Boulevard East around 4:15 a.m. A 52-year-old employee was shot in the face after three men in masks approached the restaurant's back door and the employee refused their demands to gain entry to the store. The suspects fled on Highway 216, headed east. The victim is currently expected to survive the injury.
