According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), an earthquake rumbled under parts of Alabama early Friday morning.

The USGS says that the 3.0 magnitude earthquake hit at 3:58 am and was reportedly centered in an area, 6.8 miles northwest of the community of Lake View, in Tuscaloosa County.
