Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports (TTS) is calling for artists to participate in the 6th Annual Druid City Arts Festival presented by Cadence Bank.

The Druid City Arts Festival (DCAF) is free to the public and will be held again at Government Plaza from 10 am-5 pm on April 8th, 2017.

TTS CEO Gina Simpson said,

DCAF is such a wonderful festival for our community to celebrate the incredible artist in our region. We are honored to help showcase their outstanding talents. This is the fourth year for TTS to host the event. We are constantly working on improving this one and only event for the participates and the attendees. DCAF 2017 is going to be the best one yet!

Registration is currently open for artists at druidcityartsfestival.com. The deadline for registration is Thursday, December 15, 2016. All artists are welcome to register. Some examples of different mediums from past festivals include paintings, photography, handmade clothing, home goods, jewelry and more. Artists will receive a 10×10 space for $50, where each artist can sell pieces to those attending the festival. Artists will need to provide tables, tents and chairs, but will receive complementary snacks and drinks. With record-breaking attendance of 13,000 people in 2016, TTS expects an even larger crowd in 2017.

The Druid City Arts Festival’s goal is to provide a quality arts festival, which strengthens Tuscaloosa as a destination market for the arts circuit, while also educating, engaging and inspiring both youth and adults about the arts and humanities within the Tuscaloosa community. The festival will be held in conjunction with the Tour de Tuscaloosa, Alabama’s premiere bicycle race with a criterium located in downtown Tuscaloosa.
