On Saturday, along with a few running friends, I ran 1 mile, ate 12 doughnuts and ran a second mile, all to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Alabama!

The 3rd annual Krispy Kreme Challenge was a complete success! Participants who didn't want to overdo it and eat one dozen doughnuts signed up as a "casual" runner but thrill seekers and those who like a good challenge signed up as a "competitor" and took to the streets of Tuscaloosa.

Each year when it's over I say I'm not going to do that again but each year, I get better at it! I understand what I need to do to get those 12 sugar coated sweet treats down quickly without losing them. This may not be a good thing.

Regardless of whether I compete each year, I will always support Big Brothers Big Sister of West Alabama. Growing up I was lucky enough to have been associated with BBBS and was given one of the best friends I ever had growing up, my "big brother" Jimmy White.
