Dolly Parton announced Monday morning (March 7) that she's embarking on a North American tour and will be releasing a double-disc album to coincide with the live shows.

This will be Parton's first major U.S. and Canadian tour in over 25 years. The tour includes over 60 dates — a much larger stint than in recent years where the singer would visit a few select dates in the U.S. Complete dates will be revealed in the coming weeks.

According to a press release, Parton’s setlist will include her well-known hits, as well as new songs from her forthcoming double-disc album Pure & Simple With Dolly's Biggest Hits.

"We’re so excited to get out there and see the fans again," the legend says in a press release. "I’m really looking forward to singing songs the fans have not heard in a while, as well as the hits, while debuting a few new ones off Pure & Simple."

Pure & Simple with Dolly's Biggest Hits two CD set will include new material in addition to a compilation of Parton’s biggest hits.

Last year, Coat of Many Colors — a TV movie inspired by Parton's life growing up in East Tennessee — aired on NBC and was the No. 1 movie on broadcast television in six years, with more than 15.9 million total viewers. On May 3, the film will be released on DVD with special features, including deleted scenes and a feature from Parton about the journey of how the song came to life on film and the story behind the song. Parton's next TV film will be Jolene.
