Today marks two years since the loss of one of the most important people in my life.  I wish I could say that the passing of time has made this easier, but I don't think it has. My grandfather died on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. My heart is still broken.

He taught me almost everything I know about broadcasting, as he was an avid HAM radio operator. I still remember helping him solder wires together in his radio room, driving to RadioShack in his old Chevy Silverado to buy parts, or watching my grandmother freak out when he'd climb the radio tower he'd built in the backyard.

I named Alt 101.7 WQRR in his honor; his old radio sign was WQ4R.

He had the best laugh. He was so kind and patient with me, and I just miss him so damn much.
