A massive national debate has sparked in the days following video showing Tuscaloosa police officers aggressively arresting Alabama students. Was the force necessary, or completely out of line? Not just that, should the charges dropped on the students arrested?

The whole incident started with Tuscaloosa PD responding to a loud music complaint from student housing complex. From the first second, there was a tremendous amount of tension between an officer standing in the door way with a few students.

The viral video shows more than one angle of events as they escalate. The student clearly stood their ground of not wanting to step outside and asking the officer to leave. This led to other officers responding with use of a taser and night stick.

It's violent and tough to watch. It also raises question, what happened leading up to that which is not on the video? Why did police use such brutal force? Is there something missing which led to make it, for some reason, necessary to attack the student in the video like that?

Many question, as TPD Chief Anderson announced, there is an investigation ongoing. The three officers in question are on paid leave. Then you have, three Alabama students with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest type charges. Maybe, those should be dropped?
