Deontay Wilder Will Take the Championship Belt to His Grave

Tuscaloosa's Deontay Wilder currently holds the WBC World Heavyweight title and will defend it for the first time at Bartow Arena in Birmingham on June 13th.

Considered one of the hardest punchers in the heavyweight division with a knockout ratio of 96.9%, Wilder will set that power loose on contender Eric "The Drummer Boy" Molina at UAB's Bartow Arena in two weeks.

Leading up to his first title fight against then champion Bermane Stiverne in January 2015, Wilder started a fake Twitter page for the WBC belt which he jokingly named "Sophia." The social media profile took on a life of its own with Tweets about going home with Wilder and how horrible her current living situation was.

Since winning the title in January, Wilder has made hundreds of appearances with "Sophia" and now even took their relationship one step further and got her tattooed on his left thigh!
