The Crooked Creek Civil War museum in Vinemont, Alabama is the battle site of the confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest and Union Col. Abel Streight who fought for several hours on April 30, 1863 at the crossing of Crooked Creek and Hog Mountain. The home is now a host of Civil War memorabilia and even rumored to be the hotspot of paranormal activity with several guests claiming to see ghosts.

With over 40 acres of land with historical significance, this museum of rare collectibles encourages visitors to actually handle the artifacts, and an overnight stay at a quaint bed & breakfast on the property will ensure that you receive a remarkable history lesson coupled with fun.

Open 7 days a week 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Admission is $5 and includes a tour of the grounds and museum.
