Last year, Malloy Aeronautics, the company behind the hoverbike, launched a Kickstarter campaign and met it's goal. That's good news. Could this mean hoverbikes for us?

The company recently signed a deal with U.S. Army Research Laboratory to develop hoverbikes for the U.S. military. How cool is that?

I would so ride on of these!

According to Mashable.com:

Right now, Malloy's prototype hoverbike could go as fast as 92 mph, but it's only been tested when tied to the ground so it doesn't fly too high. It's about the size of a small car, and weighs about 600 pounds. The company plans to test the bike without restrictions in the coming months.
