Chuy's Restaurant is now hiring employees to work at its new Tuscaloosa location. The restaurant is the second Chuy's within the state of Alabama, and they're looking to hire about 172 employees.

Chuy's (pronounced Chew-eez), the Austin-based Tex-Mex restaurant, announced today it will hire an estimated 170 new employees, including both full and part-time positions, for their Tuscaloosa location scheduled to open in October in the newly developed Shoppes at Legacy Park, McFarland Boulevard. The Tuscaloosa Chuy's will be the restaurant's second location in the state, with the first in The Summit, Birmingham.

Chuy's will begin accepting applications Monday, August 24, 2015 for a variety of positions including front-of-the-house hosts, servers, bussers, and bartenders as well as kitchen staff to help prepare their made-from-scratch dishes and signature sauces. Among the positions available at Chuy's, the tortilla "experts" illustrate the restaurant's commitment to authentic and fresh Tex-Mex food. By making each hand-rolled tortilla to order on a comal located in the main dining room, they offer a peek at the philosophy of freshness that sets Chuy's apart. Chuy's staff can expect high volume with lots of fun.

"There is a lot of excitement about Chuy's opening in Tuscaloosa. I can't tell you how many people have told me they already know and love Chuy's because of our Birmingham, Nashville or Texas locations," said Nick Gordzelik, local owner and operator of Chuy's Tuscaloosa. "We are looking to hire a fun, energetic team who is just as passionate as we are about serving authentic and fresh food."

Interested applicants should apply in person Monday - Saturday between 8 am and 5 pm at the Chuy's hiring office at 1320 McFarland Boulevard E, Suite 210, Tuscaloosa - behind Fresh Market. To learn more about employment at Chuy's, please visit www.Chuys.com/careers.
