One of America’s most beloved and acclaimed journalists took a page out of Cam Newton’s playbook today and stuntin’ in luxurious fashion like the NFL superstar quarterback on live TV.

Newton, who is gearing up for Super Bowl 50 this weekend, made headlines Sunday after the Carolina Panther quarterback was seen rocking a bizarre pair of zebra Versace pants with gold and black trimming. The silky printed pants became the talk of yesterday’s Super Bowl media day, with many reporters questioning Cam and his choice of pants for the occasion. Other media outlets praised Cam for daring to step in public with the outlandish trousers and gave props to the NFL superstar for his bravery.

One individual who didn’t mind Cam’s get up for his flight to San Francisco, was none other than Charlie Rose, who was challenged by his co-hosts, Gail Kim and Norah O’Donnell, to wear the black and gold zebra pants on live television for $800. After the bet was placed by the co-hosts yesterday, a swaggy and daring Charlie Rose stepped into the CBS studio this morning sporting the extravagant Versace pants along with a pair of colorful sneakers.
