Brody Lived a Jimmy Buffet Song at Muleday in Gordo

This past Saturday, my family and I went to Gordo for Muleday-Chickenfest. It was great as usual. Kimberly Madison met us there as we were broadcasting live on 95.3 The Bear. Brody had a big time with homemade ice cream, snow cones and a hand held bubble blowing gun. He wore flip flops.

About an hour into our broadcast, we let little Charlie get in the Bear Truck to cool down a little. My wife and I sat in the truck with her. Brody played in the grass with Kimberly. She was snapping pics of him and the bubbles. She walked up to the truck with one of Brody's flips flips. It was "Blown Out". Having her phone out and camera ready, she captured a few pics of the episode.

The pavement was hot and knowing we were there for at least a couple more hours, I dug through the Bear Truck to find something I could temporarily repair the shoe with. I found a rubber band.

Brody hopped on one foot while I worked my magic.

Life Hack: a Rubber band wrapped around the 'thong' of a blown out flip flop will hold for at least two hours.

It finally gave way on the walk back to the mini van! Brody told his mom, "Daddy can fix anything!"
