Brad Paisley is going above and beyond for fans in Cincinnati after a disappointing cancellation of Buckle Up Festival, originally slated for Aug. 5-6 with Paisley as the headliner. Instead of enjoying his unexpected day off, the singer decided to treat fans to a free show in the city to make up for it.

Paisley is bringing his Life Amplified Tour to Riverbend Music Center on Aug. 6 and charging nothing for attendance.

"I had a day off, and I love your area, and I love the amphitheater,” the artist tells radio station WUBE. Tickets were made available on July 27 and were gone in 20 minutes.

Blue Ash, Ohio’s Buckle Up Festival — which was to also include performances from Chase Rice, Randy Houser, Maddie & Tae and Tyler Farr — was unexpectedly shut down with little explanation, citing only “circumstances beyond our control” as the reason when it was announced via Twitter on July 25. Even the artists performing seemed to find out at the same time as everyone else — Jesse James Decker expressed her surprise.

Paisley is gearing up for the release of a new record with some surprisingly diverse collaborations, including one with pop star Demi Lovato, "Without a Fight." He released the charming video for the song in June and has performed with the artist several times, including a recent tour stop on Lovato’s run with Nick Jonas. They not only played Paisley’s tune, but Lovato’s “Stone Cold,” for which Paisley has accompanied her on guitar in the past.

The Life Amplified Tour continues through the beginning of October 2016.
