Brad Paisley is a man of his word. The country star made good on a promise he made to a young musician by inviting him onstage to jam at a recent concert in Colorado Springs.

Blaze is a young guitarist who's been playing professionally since age 12, and gigs with his band around Las Vegas. His lightning-fast pick technique incorporates elements from classic blues to metal and classic rock, but in recent years he has become a fan of country music, due in no small part to Paisley’s technical proficiency on the guitar.

The young musician set his sights on getting to jam with Paisley, and he wrote and recorded a song titled "Brad Paisley" that is based around the tag line, “I wanna jam with Brad Paisley.” He posted it online on Jan. 20, and the very next day, Paisley responded to his offer on Twitter.

Paisley kept that promise at a gig on Thursday (March 5) at the Colorado Springs World Arena, when he invited Blaze to join him during sound check. He then surprised the young guitarist by inviting him onstage to jam with him on Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Pride and Joy” and Joe Walsh’s “Rocky Mountain Way,” as well as Paisley’s own hits, “River Bank” and “Alcohol.”

In the clip above, the pair jam on "Rocky Mountain Way," demonstrating two very different, yet complementary approaches to their runs as the fans go wild.

Paisley has been crossing the country on his Country Nation World tour, which wraps up Saturday night (March 7) in Lubbock, Texas.
