Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, and Dierks Bentley Announced As Headliners For 2014 Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam

Panama City, Florida will play host to one of the biggest 3-day summer festivals in the country on Labor Day weekend, August 29-31 with the return of Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam!

Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Dierks Bentley have been announced as headliners and if they're any indication of how big this year's festival will be, we're in for a few more LARGE surprises! Looking into a list of past performers you see names like Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Brantley Gilbert, Charlie Daniels Band, Jerrod Niemann, Eli Young Band and more!

Gulf Coast Jam producer Rendy Lovelady said of the selection of Blake as headliner,

Blake was easy. He led the pack of artist requests in our 2013 surveys. His latest album Based On A True Story, is the CMA Album of the Year, ACA Album of the Year, GRAMMY-nominated Country Album of the Year and it is the fastest platinum-certified album of his entire career. Not only is he having amazing record success he is a celebrity judge on NBC’s The Voice and will co-host and perform on the ACM Awards on CBS with Luke Bryan. It just goes to show you that he’s hotter than ever right now.

 

When asked about Carrie Underwood headlining the first day,

Last year after our lineup was announced we knew something was missing, a female performer. This year we knew we had to find that leading lady that would close out our first day of the festival. It truly was neck-in-neck between two major country females but Carrie made her way to the top.

Lovelady feels confident that the energy of Dierk's live show will help to round out the lineup as well. In closing the show producer said,

I want to make sure everyone knows it would be silly to wait for the rest of the lineup before you buy your tickets. Our ticket pricing starts low but increases with time. Buying your tickets as early as possible will definitely allow you to secure the lowest price. We are confirming artists each week and we will have a mixture of new up-and-coming performers, artists that are quickly making their mark on the country music industry, and entertainers who have a long history of topping the charts with hit after hit. We will have a broad spectrum of country talent and there will be favorites for everyone!
