Billy Ray Cyrus is enjoying all of the buzz around his reprise of his biggest hit, the outside-the-lines 'Achy Breaky 2,' which comes complete with rap video.

"Hey, sometimes you've gotta do things just for the fun of it! And sometimes it's not that you gotta do it, it just happens," Cyrus tells Electric Barnyard, speaking of his decision to let hip-hop artist Buck 22 release the song -- a remix of his classic. "He started, you know, working on this new remix and it just kinda evolved into one of those things that was fun."

As the song sits far outside the confines of traditional country music, Cyrus has received some backlash from his longtime fans. But the 'Achy Breaky Heart' star actually got advice -- and a thumbs up -- from his daughter Miley, who is no stranger to media controversy herself.

"Recently, Miley had said to me, 'If the world says go left, go right,'" Cyrus relates. "And I looked at her and I said, 'You know what? I'm going to take your advice on that.'"

"This reminds me of the reason why I bought a guitar and started a band," adds the 52-year-old country singer. "I'm a singer/songwriter and I got some music to make. There's no rules, no limits. I'm just a dude that loves to make music."

Buck 22 and Cyrus' 'Achy Breaky 2' was just unleashed online on Tuesday (Feb. 11), and the video is already up to almost 5.5 million views on YouTube.
