Looking for a way to save a bunch of $$ while helping some kids in Tuscaloosa?  The annual Buy for Rise sale is coming up September 22 & 23.  More than 75 local retailers are donating new, high end merchandise with the proceeds  benefitting the University of Alabama Rise Center, which serves children with disabilities and their typically developing peers, from ages 8 weeks to 5 years.

Merchandise is sold at 75% off the item's lowest price on the first day of the sale and 90% on the second day at the school, 600 Johnny Stallings Drive.  Find out more here.

The Rise Center is part of UA’s College of Human Environmental Sciences. The center serves 84 children, 40 of whom have special needs. The children are divided by age among six classes, each with up to 16 students, one teacher and three assistants. The integrated preschool program also serves as a practicum and internship site for students from UA and other colleges.
