In a recent article on our website, I read about how rocker Tom Petty said today's country music was "Bad Rock with a Fiddle". I was offended at first but then I got to thinking about the songs I played when I started in radio back in '96. Not all songs in 2013 are "bad rock with a fiddle" I would argue with Tom Petty on that. I do think however we have seen or "heard" a shift. Things have changed a bit. I did a Google search on the # 1 country songs in 1996 and turned up a list that featured the songs below. (some are not "official videos")
