Kimberly Madison

I’m Tuscaloosa born and bred and couldn’t imagine living anywhere that doesn’t include ‘Roll Tide’ as a standard salutation. I began my career in radio in 1997 as an account executive before becoming a morning show host in 2006. I met my husband Perry, who works in law enforcement, while being arrested on suspicion of robbing a bank. Not really. We met at the lake through a mutual friend and have been married for fifteen years. Together we have three beautiful boys (one whom I must share with my good friend and his ex-wife), two doggies, four cats and seven ducks. In addition to spending time with my family, my passions are reading, exploring and photographing abandoned buildings, genealogy research and gaming.

Sallie Howard Memorial Chapel –Strange Alabama

The Sallie Howard Memorial Chapel on top of Lookout Mountain was built by Colonel Milford Howard as a memorial to his wife. He'd secretly hoped to reproduce a church he and Sallie had visited on their trip to Europe and one of his last accomplishments was raising enough money and materials to build this memorial, though the organ and beautiful stained glass windows he envisioned were never added
