From Americanlunch.org:

American Lunch  was founded Chatham Morgan while he was a student at the University of Alabama. During the course Leadership Development through Community Service, taught by Ellen Potts, Morgan saw the need for a food-based charity that could be mobile in nature. On the theory that many needy people have a problem with transportation, the idea of a non-profit food truck was developed.

You can volunteer or donate at Americanlunch.org. The food truck schedule and menu is available as well.

Project Blessings is a Tuscaloosa based non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping low-income and underprivileged homeowners repair their homes and achieve a better quality of living.  Our mission is to help those that desperately need home repair, but do not currently have the means to make them happen.  Working side by side with the homeowners, volunteer teams of all ages donate their time and energy to transform worn and weathered structures into safe and secured homes where dreams can truly come true.

Everyone is Welcome this Thanksgiving from 11a til 3p to Chuck's Fish. There is absolutely no cost although donation will be accepted by those capable of making them.
