Calhoun County officials earlier evacuated Alexandria High School in response to a bomb threat. No threats were found.

12:02pm - Students are returning and all is safe!

11:47am - Sheriff's Office and IK-9 with their dogs checking the schools. No threats have been found.

11:30am - An updated post on their Facebook page reads, "No threat has been found by human, dog or other sources available to us. We are double and triple checking.  All students are doing good. Almost done!"

10:30am - A post on the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office Facebook page read, "Alexandria High students are all ok. Explosive dogs from the Sheriffs Office and Auburn K-9 at McClellan on the way to ensure the school is safe. Stay calm. We feel this is not a credible threat. Your child's safety is paramount."

Apparently the chaos ensued after an unknown student placed a note on a teacher's desk that stated there was a bomb in the school.
