Alabama’s Drought, The Worst We’ve in 5 Years

Did you know, wildfires have burned more than 12,000 acres statewide in Alabama in the last 30 days?  The latest federal statistics show Alabama is locked in a severe drought, and James Spann says no substantial rainfall is predicted in the next 5 days.

Simply tossing a cigarette butt out a car window could destroy land and Alabama's wonderful wildlife.  DON'T DO IT...Don't toss cig butts out the window in conditions like this...the frogs, turtles, birds, and deer THANK YOU! :)

Authorities suspect simple carelessness caused some of the blazes, while others could be arson.  10% of the state is now listed as being under exceptional drought – more than double the percentage of last week.   This is currently Alabama's worse drought in more than 5 years and it's getting worse so pray for rain.
