Saturday's final home game in Tuscaloosa will be the last chance to see the Alabama senior class inside Bryant-Denny Stadium, and that group has a chance to make history.

The Crimson Tide seniors have already compiled 50 total wins over their career and another victory over Mercer would tie the all-time NCAA record set by their Alabama teammates a year ago.

It's pretty amazing that this group has the opportunity to win as many as 54 games if it can run the table and win the national championship this year. Even if an undefeated season doesn't happen, Alabama will have at least two opportunities to break the record if it defeats Mercer this weekend.

It's hard to believe that these Alabama classes keep outdoing each other, but we could be having the same discussion next year depending on how 2017 finishes. Next year's senior class will have two 14-win seasons plus whatever happens this year.
