Voter turnout is expected to be huge for this November's Presidential election and Alabama has released a mobile app to make registering easier.

Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill announced that the state has launched a new app called, Vote for Alabama.

Users can use their smartphone to register to vote, find registration information, including polling location, ballot information and the date of the next election in their area.

"It is incumbent upon us election officials to leverage technology wherever we can to facilitate the voting process," said Secretary Merrill.  'We want every eligible Alabamian to be afforded the right to vote.'

Merrill hopes the new app will encourage Alabamians to participate in the electoral process and he says the new implementation of Vote for Alabama app will allow them to do so.
