Kyesha Smith Wood dropped her children off at a Bessemer movie theater to see Cinderella. When they returned home later that evening, Wood's 16 year old son informed her that her two daughters had misbehaved and were 'rude and obnoxious' to a woman who tried to correct their behavior.

'Disappointed and ashamed', Kyesha Wood took to Facebook to find the woman whose theater experience had been marred by her daughters.

Thousands of shares later, Wood found the woman she calls a 'hero' and thanked her for being unafraid to correct her children's behavior in her absence. Rebecca Boyd, the mother in the theater, said she was touched by how much Wood cared for her children and the way they behaved.

For her part, Kyesha Wood is blown away by the attention her post has received and has been busy fielding television interviews. "A lot of times people get nervous about saying something to a stranger's kids. But it takes a village to raise our kids. We as a community need to hear this, that there are parents out there who still believe in old-fashioned methods," she says.
