Week 11 in college football featured three top-10 matchups, but it ended up being Alabama's game against Mississippi State that grabbed the nation's attention.

The No. 2 Crimson Tide got down early to the No. 16 Bulldogs on Saturday night and the fans from all over the country tuned in to see if Nick Saban's team would lose its first conference game in more than two years. Alabama would end up outscoring State, 14-3, in the fourth quarter to remain undefeated, and millions of people watched it all unfold.

ESPN announced Tuesday that the thrilling game drew more than 7 million viewers and peaked at over 11 million to make it cable's most-watched college football game in over two years. It also ranks among ESPN's top games of the past 20 years.

While this game ranked number one on cable, Alabama's opening night victory over Florida State remains the top overall game of the year and drew more than 12 million viewers.
