Alabama sophomore Ryan Anderson was arrested early Tuesday on third-degree domestic violence charges and criminal mischief.

Tuscaloosa Police haven't released any further details but the online database shows that the linebacker was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail and being held on $500 bond. The Tuscaloosa News points out that a 20-year-old woman from Daphne, which is Anderson's hometown, is also being held on identical charges.

The 6-foot-2, 258 pound, linebacker played in all 14 games for Alabama this past season. He finished the season with 25 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks.

UPDATE: According to the Tuscaloosa News:

Ryan Anderson is accused of kicking a woman’s vehicle during an argument at an off-campus residence late Monday night, Tuscaloosa Police spokesman Sgt. Brent Blankley stated in a written release. The woman had keyed and thrown coins at Anderson’s vehicle, Blankley said.

Tuscaloosa Police also confirmed that neither individual showed any sign of physical injury.
